Holiday Horrors: Enjoy Your Trip?

I won't lie, I'm accident prone.

I prefer to think things accidentally slip from my hands, or that objects jump in front of me causing me to fall over.

But my Dad continues to disagree with me on that one.

Case in point Vegas.

Scene: Vegas, Night. The entire family --including my brother's parent's in law -- exit Caesars Palace shops, where I have just purchased a bottle of Diet Pepsi. The hot lights of The Strip are ablaze as we walk along the pavement and I slip down a tiny -- and by tiny I mean the inch high --ledge in the sidewalk, almost hurling myself into a bush.

Pepsi all over my top.

Did anyone see me? Not sure, apart from the gazillion other tourists I probably stickied with Pepsi as I swan dived. My family said nothing. I don't think it surprises them anymore than I have no center of gravity.

And that wasn't even my most spectacular falling over incident.

Oops. :)

Sorry to hear about the fall. You do not want to be covered in Pepsi in that heat. It turns to sticky syrup almost immediately. Hope you had fun anyway!

*laughs*...I also tend to be a little accident prone and spilling things is my specialty!

And I totally believe that things jump out in front of us causing falls ;)

'Ello again fellow faller! I have taken many a tumble, to be seen by many a people. :) Glad you're back!

I think maybe a celestial being stole your center of gravity and is using it to power another galaxy.

Sorry, I was just feeling a little sci-fi, there.
Welcome back! We missed you!

I think diet Pepsi is probably better to be covered in than regular Pepsi. And hey, I'm clumsy too! :) Like... tripping going up the stairs out of the metro, with my hands in my pockets, and getting physically scarred for life/bursting a blood vessel in my eye. Did I mention this was UP the stairs? :)
I've never been to Vegas, though - Hopefully you had a great time, despite pepsi all over your top. :D

I tend to walk into things more than fall, although I do that too. I'm constantly covered in bruises - and my family just ignores it too :)

We all have these moments, don't we. Hope you manage to laugh them off. Hugs..

Oh, poor you. But I know exactly the feeling. A couple of weeks ago I went to the theater. Little did I know that the front entrance had just been mopped (without the Wet sign warning) Needless to say, I busted my butt. In front of everyone. So embarrassing!!

*grin and hugs* My center of gravity comes and goes as it pleases without any notification whatsoever. >.<

Ah well. We may not be coordinated, but at least we can be graceful. :p

Oh no....

I have had many embarrassing falling-over incidents, the most spectacular in Highgate Tube when I practically did a dive head-first down the stairs and slid to a stop at the bottom. Not good.

I'm glad you weren't hurt! This incident sounds like a moment in the day of my life. Case in point: One afternoon, I was talking to a neighbor after the school bus delivered our darlings, and my eight-year-old daughter gave me a playful shove. I slid sideways, right off my cork wedge-heeled shoes and crumbled in a heap on the driveway. Talk about zero center of gravity!

Luckily, I wasn't holding a Pepsi at the time and was, therefore, the only victim of the accident. *smile*

So you're the reason there was something sticky under my shoe. It's all your fault.

Pepsi? Ha! it was beer!

I may be your clumsy sister. If there's the tiniest crack, I manage to slip. Sorry about the Pepsi spill!

i am loving your redesign! very cool, clean, yet inviting. I like it! More than the previous template too I think- which is what you aim for in redesign so well done! :)

p.s i am a butter-fingers too. actually im a "waving my hand around while emphasing a good story and spill glass of red wine on white pants" kind of girl.

Welcome back! Hey, Vegas can be a little distracting, so you probably weren't the only one falling and spilling drinks that night.

The fall is one for the books... why didn't you stick with the saying "what happens in vegas, stays in vegas?" No one would have known... apart from the tourists (who could have cared less) and your family.

I have too many racked up... it's all the blonde hair I have, lol.

In Vegas you're probably safe to assume no one saw you except your family. Glad to know I'm not the only one who does things like that.

you're probably like me. Everyone tells me I need to 'slow down'. I move to quick, eat fast, talk fast, walk fast, and fall fast. All of my maternity clothes are stained in some way or another because I was too impatient to wait for food to arrive in my mouth. Like a sweaty crazed pregnant monster.

Vicki. Thanks, it was fun...despite the falling. I think I'm used to it now. Not the pepsi coverage though. :)

Jaydee. Ahh, another clumsy one to add to my club. Least it isn't just me.

Samantha. Aww, thanks. Is it wrong to be happy others are as clumsy as me? heehee.

Lydia. Ooh, yup. I blame the celestial being. I missed you all too. :)

Bethany. I never thought of that with the whole lower sugar contents. Nice. Falling up stairs...you are my trip sister. I've fell up stairs too...and over a dog bone!

Jemi. Poor you. I sympathise with the bruises.

Carole. Oh yes. It's nice to know I'm not alone.

Kimberly. Ooh that's awful. They should have put the sign out.

Danyelle. Hmm, I wonder if we do look graceful falling?

Talli. Ooh, falling downstairs is my worst fear. I did it once when I was younger, it scarred me for life. lol.

Nicole. Ooh, falling off wedges hurts.

Walter. Lol.

Theresa. Aww, welcome to the clumsy sisterhood. :)

Miss ali. Glad you like the redesign.
Ans, ooh, red wine on white is so not good. ;)

Julie. Hah, that is true. And I was sober.

Jen.Rats, I forgot about the what happens in Vegas saying. lol.

Kathi. That's true. And my family just roll their eyes now. lol.

CQG. Sorry, I had to laugh at the sweaty crazed pregnanat monster image.

Lindsay said...

CQG. See, I agree. I'm doing things way too fast and cant spell pregnant above. lol.
