Writing In The Bath!

I've heard lots of people mention that they have WIP ideas whilst in the bath/shower. Well, I was lying in the bath the other day when an idea hit me, but I couldn't write it down.

Or could I?

I discovered there are tools at hand to preserve my idea other than repeating it like a mantra -- the goddaughter's bath toys.

Sure the dolphin water squirter doesn't help much. I suppose the foam letters do have potential, but these are even better...

Bath crayons.

All you need when an idea strikes mid-bath/shower is a bath crayon and a tiled wall.

Genius.

Also, I'm over on Operation Awesome today. Pop over if you get chance, I'm spilling details about the April 1st Mystery Agent contest over on Operation Awesome

I don't usually get ideas in the shower or while washing dishes. Apparently water it supposed to be an idea stimulant, but it doesn't seem to work for me. Those bath crayons sound fun though! I'll have to check those out for my niephlings.

Yay for bath crayons!! How fun! I hope you're implementing that awesome story idea today. They sure come at the weirdest times, right?

Oh, I mentioned you in an interview I did today. You've got to get your latest book represented. I don't know how much longer I can stay quiet about it. ;)

Nice, bath crayons! I have an old claw-foot tub and the bathroom has wooden walls, so no bath crayons for me. I usually just dry my hands and jot down ideas in my boring old notebook. ;)

I ALWAYS have to have a notebook with me, because I usually have good ideas in the bath. Water seems to stimulate my creativity really well. So does watching the wind blow through the trees!

Yeah, I wrote a post about a year ago when I kept getting ideas in the shower and how I should invest in bath crayons. I have yet to but it's still a brilliant idea.

I totally have bath crayons. Word to the wise . . . they don't clean up as easily as the say they do. :)

Still, at least you know you won't lose that idea!

Ha, that is so great!! I love it. It'll bring out the child in you at the same time, which may bring an accompany sense of freedom and experimentation. Which could be a great thing! :o)

Love it!

I'm more of a shower kinda gal (in the mornings, anyway - when my brain is functioning at its best).
