I got the parental eye roll yesterday. Why? Well, let me set the scene.
My dad is sat at the kitchen table, watching some repeat of whatever was on 'The Discovery Channel.'
I put my bag down, flick on the kettle, and turn to the table to see the parcels. My parcels...five of them.
No words are needed. We both know what's inside. Dad rolls his eyes. Yep, I got book busted!
What was in my pretty little packages? The Duff, Firelight, Personal Demons, Shade, and On Writing.
The thing is, we all have TBR piles. The bookworm in me doesn't so much have a pile anymore...I've got a TBR bookcase. In my defence it's a mini one from Ikea. Since I can devour a book in a couple of days the turnaround time from TBR to read is frequent.
So I thank my blogging stars I'm not the only one. Case in point, the wonderful Tahereh who shares my book addiction.
And the awesome gals at WriteOnCon are hosting the Epic Giveaway of Epic Epicness!
So now I'm just off to wait for my pre-ordered copy of The Replacement to arrive before my dad sees. Oopsie!
So, have you any new books this week?
Happy Friday :)
P.S. Continuing the WriteOnCon interview series, Katrina chats with the fabulous Shannon Messenger over at Operation Awesome.

I'm laughing as I write this because I have to hide my new books in my purse and sneak them onto my shelf. Yes I too have a shelf containing my TBR pile! I just finished The Haunted and it was amazing! Not sure what to read next though...Oh well, that's what the shelf is for!
Like you and Tahereh, my to-read list is enormous. Reading is an addiction of the best kind.
Oh, what a smart idea. I need a bookshelf for my TBR pile . . . it's that big. I have a weakness for buying and ordering (heck, and pre-ordering) books before I finish what I have. Especially if the bookstore has only one copy left. What if, gasp, someone buys it before I get through my TBR pile?
On the plus side, now I have a book to read no matter what kind of mood I'm in. Want to read a paranormal novel. No problem. Romance. Check. Coming of age. I've got it. (of course, all of these are YA) ;)
I haven't bought a new book for months :-(
I'm getting bad withdrawals.
I got a new book this week! The Butterfly Key. It's the first book I've read in a long time (haven't had the time), and it's wonderful.
Good luck getting to your reading list!

I've been focusing on writing instead of reading but the withdrawals are starting to set in. Your new books sound fabulous. It could be a lot worse - at least your not smuggling in something illegal ;)
I have TWO tbr bookshelves! And the sad thing is that I am picking up holds almost daily from the library, and those get read first because I have to return them sooner or later.
I get the 'husband eye-roll' with my TBR books. He's great about it, realizing I could be doing a lot worse I guess. I'm dying to crack open Firelight and Unraveled!
Even if the box at the front door is the size of an infant carrier, my hubz still turns to me and says, "Did you order more books?" That's how bad it is. Umm, sometimes it's just a new educational toy for the kids or something from the Home and Garden section. I really don't think I should be subjected to the eye-rolling. :-) Okay, maybe I do deserve it. And I am SO JEALOUS of the books you just got b/c I've been trying so hard not to buy new books since my Hunger Games trilogoy/Paranormalcy splurge two weeks ago. And I really want to read Firelight and The Replacement!
Gah! All in good time, my pretties. All in good time.
Great post, Lindsay!
oh I am working on taking some pics of my books. They literally cover every surface of my place. There's only one place where books are not and that's the bathroom. One day I plan on taking pictures but my shame is great and plenty. Just like y bookshelves.
Haha, I so relate to this post! I've been book busted a time or two as well. :) My book this week is Beauty by Robin McKinley. Loving it so far...
I've ordered myself Linger and Mockingjay - can't wait :)
