Revision-O-Rama

Hear that? No? Listen carefully. Hear it now? It's the sound of my keyboard falling silent after finishing a round of revisions on the completed MS.

Ahhhhh.

Hang on, I don't like this.

Seriously, the silence is killing me. I'm a writing junkie. I need the click-click of the keys. I need the hair pulling frustration which comes with slaving over a hard scene/chapter/sentence. I need to write.

Maybe I'll just have a cookie first. And a cup of tea. Oh, there's the programme I recorded last night on the BBC I've not watched yet....

Okay, enough rest. Time to get more work done on the wip.

So tell me. How are your wip/revisions/procrastination attempts coming?

Oh, and in separate, but no less awesome, news Operation Awesome has launched with a Mystery Agent contest. Woot.

I'm supposed to be immersed in revisions - not here. I'm faced with a first chapter I think is lacking. Beta said it works, leave it alone (I'm going with my gut here). Add in a few chapters that I realized weaken the story and I might delete altogether and...I'm procrasting like you wouldn't believe. (Hugs)Indigo

If you MUST know, I haven't written a single new word in... well... a month...

I know, I know. But I'm taking the time to research/outline/figure out my newest WIP (the one I told you about earlier this week??). I hope to write that first word sometime this year :)

Happy revising!

I've been letting some editing/revising suggestions filter around in my head for a bit - I think I'm ready to attack it again :)

Congrats on finishing a round of revisions! I've just finished a round, too, and I'm about to start writing a new WiP to get some distance from the first manuscript. Can't live without the keys clacking, either!

Congrats for finishing edits--well done! :D

That first bit of silence is just golden, isn't it? I've procrastinated plenty this past month. Time to get back to work.

I know the feeling. I need something new to work on. I have a feeling I'm going to get something this afternoon -- a whole slew of revisions, actually.

And yay for Operation Awesome!!

I'm planning on writing tonight with my brother but lately I've been so stressed from my day job that I haven't written anything since the fairy tale blogfest. I did watch Star Trek last night...

My WIP that I started in May wants to know why I've practically ignored it since then. Sorry, WIP!

I queried in early August, received rejections on some of them, and so I just revised it and sent out four queries last night.

Enjoy catching up on your program!
