Week of win: Wednesday Prizes.

First I want to say a big thank you to everyone for making my first contest so much fun.

But enough of that. It's time to announce my week of win Wednesday prize.

And there will be two winners. Yup two. :)
So here are the beautiful books up for grabs today:

The U.K. paperback of Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl.
The U.K. paperback of Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater.

Let me know in the comments which book you would prefer. Oh, and if you already have these (and if your name is drawn on Monday) I will be giving a random mystery prize.
Hint: It may, or may not, be something write-esq and some form of chocolate. Yum.

And now the fun of Mad Libs:

_________ things and _________ make me _________.

I just wanted to say I've discovered the power of the blogosphere. I hadn't heard of Shiver a few months ago, but now I'm running into it EVERYWHERE.

I've gone from: "Shiver? Never heard of it."

"Shiver? Why does that sound familiar?"

"Shiver. Shiver. I've heard about that somewhere"

"Shiver again? It's everywhere."

to (finally)

"Shiver! I've got to read this book!"

Great contest!

I would love Shiver...I keep hearing so many great things about it and would love to read it!

Love me a good mad lib.

Chocolate coated things and a cool spring rain make me Shiver (of course).

Great contest! I've only heard a little about Shiver and nothing about Beautiful Creatures. Both look fascinating.

As for the mad lib...
Old things and memories make me yearn for days gone by.

Fall things and fireplaces make me cozy. :)

They both sound great, but Shiver would be my first choice :)

Goofy things and my students make me smile!

I would like Beautiful Creatures.
As for that mad lib:
Happy things and kindness make me joyful.

Fun contest. I already have these books, so I'll be fair an not enter. Hope you have a great day.

Okay, a la Star Wars today (got the words from a Star Wars comic book)

Arrogant things and death make me collapse.

And there you have it, the wisdom of Star Wars. :)

Susan Fields said...

They both look great, but I just read a review of Shiver today and I really want to read it now, so I'll go with that.

Beautiful things and my family make me grateful.

Furry things and books make me laugh. (Had to work my cat in there somehow. ;)

Either would rock. :)

I read everyone's reply and was stumped so I asked Mike to give me and adjective, a noun, and a feeling.

We have:

Fantastic things and buildings make me overwhelmed.

Either would be fab!! Here's my madlib:

Wearing shiny things and high heels make me feel glamorous.

I missed this yesterday. And both books look great :)

Pink things and mice make me nervous.

(don't ask how those words came up)
