A week of win.

Over the last two months blogging has helped me meet some of the most awesome people. The support of the writing community is both helpful and invaluable. And I am grateful to be part of this community.

*sniff*

Okay, here is is. To celebrate reaching the 100 followers milestone I am having a contest. Well, it's a week of win really.

That's right, a week of win!

So today, Wednesday and Friday will be prize posting days.

How can you win? Well, like fellow 100 follower contest holder Jaydee, I've decided to keep it simple.

We're playing Mad Libs.

Next Monday (31st of May) I'll draw the winners using some random generating method. Well, really it'll be me writing names on pieces of paper before pulling them out of a hat.

Technical isn't my middle name. :)

So Monday's prize theme is books with zombies, well Mudo, but same difference.

Today the prize is both hardback U.K. covers of The Forest of Hands & Teeth, and The Dead-Tossed Waves by Carrie Ryan.

So, if you'd like to win both these awesomesauce books - either for you, a loved one, your bookshelf - speak now with your comedy stylings, or the Mudo might get me.

Monday contest Mad Lib:

And the__________ came out of the __________ and ________ me.

If you already have these books but want to play along, feel free. You will still be entered for some random prize I'm hoping to find on my travels today.

Oh yeah, in my excitement I almost forgot to tell you I will post internationally. :)

I've never played Madlibs, so I'm not sure if I've got the right idea, but:

The rabbit came out of the hat and tricked me!

Congrats on (well over) 100 followers!

By the way, I'm a new follower and a fellow Brit and would love for you to drop by my blog sometime!

I let my 6-year old give me the words:

And the 'cup' came out of the 'fan' and 'spun' me.

Here's one inspired by my life:

And the 'puke' came out of the 'baby' and 'covered' me.

And the bullet came out of the gun and kissed me.

Not sure where that came from but it's what I thought of. Fun idea Lindsay, thanks for sharing!

Congrats on the followers! Great contest too :) Going with the zombie theme...

And the words came out of the corpse and terrified me.

Hey Isabelle! I love how your covers are different than ours. Yours are cooler. :)

Here's mine:

And the Cat came out the Hat and bit me.

The popcorn came out of the light and climbed me. (Disclaimer: I asked my kids for random words and this is what I got....sheesh)

Congrats on the 100 follower milestone - and yep, simple is best. I'm with you on the technically challenged thing as well :)

Congrats on reaching 100+!

And the stars came out of the night and swallowed me. O:)

Congratulations on such a wonderful milestone!! Much deserved!!! I have to say that I'm dying to read these two books, and seeing as I don't even own them yet this is the perfect chance too!! I hope I get the lucky number because I think it would be even cooler to show off to friends being the UK version, not to mention they aren't scary looking like the US version!!

So here's to winning!!! Hehe...

And the bear came out of the sheets and jumped me.

I followed in Jaydee's footsteps, I asked a few co-workers and this is what they came up with!!

Woot Woot, Mad Libs rock. Thanks for all your entries. I just wish I had enough books to give you all copies.

Deborah. Yup, you got it right. :) And welcome to my little blog. Nice to have you with us.

Vicki. Yup, Mad Libs = awesome.

Janet. Love that your 6-year-old helped.:)

Matthew. Hehee, creativity comes from strange places.

Jemi. Thanks for the congrats. Ooh, that madlib made me shudder. I'm seeing talking corpses now. :)

Amparo. Thought you'd enjoy it. Gotta have some fun. Love the madlib. Always good to get a douchebag in there somewhere. :)

Palindrome. Lol. I knew you'd love the zombie theme. I just don't have a machette to add to the prize, but you've already got an awesome one now anyway. :)

Lydia. I like our covers too. But I'm biased. heehe. Ahh, Cat and the hat. So cool, I never thought of that one.

Jaydee. Kids. They always manage to go for the comedy without realising. Great madlib though, I have a vision of moving popcorn now. :)

Danyelle. Thanks for the congrats. I like the sound of cannibal stars. :)

Jen. Aww, thanks. Got to love the MadLib brainstorm. The books are awesome. Yeah, they are really different covers to the U.S ones. The U.K seems to be going through a 'simple art' cover phase.

CQG. Thanks for the congrats.
Naughty mouse.

Shannon. Aww, thanks. Heehee, cheeky moon for winking. :)

Zoe. Thanks for the congrats. Great Mad Lib too. I'd hate being slimed too. :)

Well I must say that I love simple art... so much less disturbing! The thing is I'm dying to read them but I can't pick up the covers because they are too scary!! I would have to have the hubs cover it and then think about reading it!!!
