QT Logline Contest...And Fun.

Got a logline that you know works?

Want to submit it to an agent?

Seriously, there is a contest over on the QT blog that starts today at 6AM EST and is open for 24 hours.

Chris Richman, from the Upstart Crow Literary Agency wants your one sentence pitch for YA/MG novel (25 words or less). All you have to do is fill in the form.

And the rules. All you have to do is be a follower of the QT blog and a member of the main QueryTracker site to enter. And -brave agent that he is - Mr. Richman isn't capping entries!

So good luck to all who enter.

Now on to something else.

Ever read a book that you thought could be condensed? Take a look at these.

And how do you shorten a 400 page plot device? Hmmm:

P.S., I don't hate Twilight or Harry Potter but the clips made me laugh.

I have a couple loglines that have been haunting me lately...problem is that's ALL I have.

Those clips are pretty cute! I read the Twilight Series, and I thought they were okay -- but then I wasn't the target audience.

The movies though (Please don't tell my daughter I said this) were painful to watch. I don't know if it was the acting or the dialogue itself, but I CRINGED through the whole thing.

Funny vid-clips!!

My kids are still asleep so I couldn't watch the videos. :(

I'm entering the contest. My logline is 26 words, but fortunately I can cut one word without too much damage. Not that I expect to win . . . or even get close. There's going to be a zabillion entries. ;)

I think I'll concentrate on finishing my manuscript before I begin on loglines and such. One hurdle at a time.

Funny vids :)

Miss V. I agree on the movies, they are a little cringe-worthy, but I think it's because I enjoy the books. I still go to see them though. lol.
